Secret Provence on Mary Magdalene’s Path

This day is a true journey back in time, an immersion in an off-the-beaten-path Provence.

We'll begin with a drive through the Sainte-Baume National Park, where I'll drop you off at the trailhead leading to the Grotto of Mary Magdalene. You'll walk there on your own, at your own pace, and you'll have enough time to pray or meditate. The walk in this ancient forest, where hunting and logging have been prohibited for hundreds of years, is a truly spiritual experience.

After your return, I'll offer you a local sandwich and a glass of rosé from my village. We'll continue our journey to Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, the former capital of Provence, where you'll have free time to explore some shops, try the best ice creams in the region, and of course, visit the basilica where Mary Magdalene's tomb and relics are located.

I will then pick you up and we will drive through one of the most beautiful valleys in the region. Breathtaking scenery awaits you: vineyards, the Sainte-Victoire mountain, authentic villages, and the interplay of light and shadows. If we have time, you will have the opportunity to have a walk through the vines fields, visit a small, authentic village untouched by mass tourism, or do a tasting of local wines.
